Our History
New Horizons Aircraft, Inc. traces its roots back nearly 30 years, when Jim D. Stewart
first began creating his own aircraft designs. Most notable of his designs were the Experimental
Aircraft Association's biplane and the redesigned metal replica
of the famous North American P-51D Mustang, two very sport-oriented planes. Jim has been actively involved in the Experimental Aircraft Association for decades and now his
recent design of the Horizon enables us to move into the light sport aircraft manufacturers' ranks.
We are committed to developing, designing, building and marketing innovative, light sport aircraft and aviation products while
adhering
to the highest quality and standards of care, to produce the safest, most reliable, and most attractive aircraft and aviation products available.
We design, build, fly and sell light sport airplanes! The lines on our Horizon model are sleek and the look
is elegant and exotic, far different from the "tractor" configurations of competitors in the aviation
fleet today. Yes, we are different — by design!
